causing spectacular explosions.

Hawaii Volcanoes
National Park
The park covers 333,086 acres of extreme contrasts ranging from stark, moonscape vistas of seemingly endless lava fields, and eerie, steaming sulfur pits to lush Hawaiian rain forests abounding with life. Included are the summits and rifts zones of Kilauea and Mauna Loa, two of the
world's most active
volcanoes.
Hawaii's only indigenous goose, the nene, is on the endangered species list and is protected by law. Be alert for nene families crossing the roadways.
